Westport Meeting Newsletter Oct 29, 2021

Westport Meeting News:

Reminder: If a committee or working group plans to meet in the Community House or meetinghouse during the week, please remember to let Kevin know so that he can add it to the Meeting’s Google Calendar. During the heating season, Jay Vieira checks the Meeting schedule weekly and programs the thermostats accordingly. If a planned meeting is not on the calendar, no heat can be set in advance.

NEYM Letter of Apology to Native Americans: Meetings within NEYM are being asked to read the Letter of Apology to Native Americans and discuss it within our local meeting communities. We are specifically asked not to publish or distrubute the letter on any non-Quaker public forum, as distribution and publishing will shepherded by the Right Relationship Group of NEYM. Friends may read the document HERE.

Midweek worship will continue to be offered each week on Wednesdays at 3:30 PM. Please note that the link for midweek worship is not the same as our regular worship on Sunday. A link for joining Midweek worship (which is the same link each week) will be emailed each week on Wednesday mornings. To insure security, we never post Zoom links on websites or portals visible to the general public. Questions? Contact Kevin Lee.

Mark your calendar! A Welcoming into membership celebration for John Wojtowics, will be held following worship, this Sunday, Oct 31 at 11:30 AM. John became a member two years ago, but a celebration was postponed due to the pandemic.
