Our 52nd Annual Book Fair will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013! The Book Fair, which over the years has grown to be a community event, is the signature fundraiser for the Westport Monthly Meeting of Friends (Quakers).
In addition to the year-round hard work of sorting and pricing used books for resale at a fraction of their original value, the Book Fair held every July is also a joyous community event that attracts hundreds of people from the surrounding area to our grounds at 858 Main Road, Westport, MA.
Though set-up crews will be busy setting thousands of books up under the tents, the Main Tent containing the vast majority of books will open to the public at 11:00 AM sharp! The tent containing children’s books will open at 10:45 AM for children only, and to their parents and public at 11:00 AM. (This way, children have a chance to browse uninterrupted before the rush!) There are also plenty of children’s books on sale for 6/$1.00 in the Meetinghouse, which opens to everyone at 10:00 AM.
The Food Tables, next to the children’s books, will be selling homemade baked goods, coffee, hot dogs and more, and will open at 9:00 AM.
The event will end for the day at dusk, and resume again the next day!
