The Westport Friends Peace and Social Justice Committee warmly invites you to read and
discuss the Pendle Hill pamphlet, “Race, Systemic Violence and Retrospective Justice” by
Harold D. Weaver Jr. January 10, 2021 at 7:00 PM on
Zoom.
We hope to come to this reading and discussion with the
search for the answer to this question, “ What right action
can I do that would support the changes needed to
dismantle systems of violence and racism at our workplaces,
schools, businesses, family, neighborhood and social
networks?”
The pamphlet is available at Westport Friends Meetinghouse, in the vestibule or depending on your location, may
be dropped off to you. Please respond via email to Gretchen Baker-Smith (hellogretchen@gmail.com) or call her at 508-287-6441 if you would like to join us.
I would like to join the discussion of Weaver’s text. I read recently and would like to understand more deeply thorough discussion. I am a member of Morningside Quaker Meeting, NYC
