Monthly Meeting for Business News:
At monthly meeting for business, May 21, 2023, Friends with joy and love welcomed, Jann Sparks, into membership at Westport Friends Meeting. Jann, who lives in a nearby state, participates in the life of the Meeting at worship, Seekers Group, mideweek worship, and various committees, primarily on Zoom. A date to formally celebrate Jann’s new membership will be announced at a later time.
Property Committee:
On Thursday afternoon, May 25, a hearty crew of Westport Meeting Friends arrived to clean the meetinghouse windows that haven’t been done in four years! Property Committee is grateful to Joshua Vieira, Carol Gay, Jay Vieira, Sandra Thompson, Mary Monteiro, and Amy Lee Vieira, who, as a team, began window cleaning at 4pm and finished at exactly 4:55 PM.
